eSimplicity to advance SBA OIG mission protecting $790B of pandemic relief funds
The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Office of Inspector General (OIG) has selected eSimplicity’s team of AI/ML data scientists and ML process engineers to advance its efforts in data management and model development to improve the identification and investigation of fraud, waste, abuse, and mismanagement of the SBA pandemic relief funds.
eSimplicity will optimize investigative decisions and outcomes by enabling FWA investigation SMEs with modern DataOps and advanced Machine Learning (ML)/Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions. We will also support the SBA OIG community and law enforcement agencies with expanded data resources and open-source tools for supervised and unsupervised AI models.
Keith McFarland, eSimplicity CIO, shared that more than 11 million small businesses were approved for Paycheck Protection Program benefits for a total of 790 billion dollars. By defrauding the system, bad actors deprive legitimate opportunities for small businesses that need help in the recovery the most. Keith shared that eSimplicity is humbled to be entrusted in an important and impactful mission.
