eSimplicity is Awarded (ISO) 27001:2013 Certification
eSimplicity, a leading healthcare IT, telecommunications, and digital services company, is pleased to announce that it has achieved the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 27001:2013 certification in support of its production technology operations.
ISO 27001:2013 is an international standard published in 2013 by ISO and ISE (International Electrotechnical Commision). It is the only information security management system (ISMS) that is internationally recognized. Requirements of being awarded ISO 27001:2013 include establishing, implementing, maintaining and continually improving an ISMS, and to continually assess and treat information security risks specific to the organization. Being awarded the ISO 27001:2013 certification shows eSimplicity’s commitment to implement the most stringent security measures in order to protect ourselves and our customer’s data.
Eric Ross, the Director of Operations and Information Security Management Officer at eSimplicity, explains that “ensuring our customers trust us is paramount to our business and ongoing success. The ISO 27001:2013 certification conveys to our clients that we treat information security with the utmost importance. Continually improving our information security posture and keeping up with the newest cybersecurity trends is something we prioritize and strive to do for ourselves and for our customers’ sake. With this certification, our clients and employees can have complete confidence in our information and data security capabilities.”
eSimplicity’s certification was achieved after an independent third-party audit from QAS International Ltd. QAS is a leader in ISO audits along with their partner consultancy International Management Systems Marketing. They are members of the IRCS (International Register of Certified Auditors), which is the world’s largest certification body for auditors of management systems.
